In light of Marco Belinelli getting fined $15,000 for doing a feeble rendition of the Sam Cassell / Big Balls Dance near the end of the Bulls’ Game 7 win over the Nets in the first round of the 2013 NBA Playoffs, I did some research.

May 4, 2013: Marco Belinelli
This lackluster effort definitely deserved a fine, though I’m told the penalty was for the celebration itself and not for its poor quality. [Video]

After his last college exam ever, Greg walked through the compass for the first time in four years. Jeremy was there to capture this shot: [no longer available]

Afterwards, Greg went to Pottruck to play basketball and promptly felt pain in his knee. “I knew something bad would happen when I walked through the compass for the first time,” he would later comment.

Upon examining Greg’s knee, Dr. Andy reported that “[the injury] does not look severe but will probably keep his soft [multiple expletives deleted] sidelined for the rest of the year.”

Greg had been known to avoid the compass at all costs, even if it meant walking away while in a conversation along Locust or stepping in two feet of snow to get around it.
